This is an education stipend opportunity for ICC CNA students enrolled for the Fall 2026 semester only. The stipend is a one-time payment of $1,700 and is considered taxable income. To be eligible, recipients must be at least 18 years old. Upon completion of the ICC CNA program, recipients will enter a Patient Care Technician, or other role requiring a CNA certification at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center. The Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) provides appropriate safe basic care to patients, including taking vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and observing patients for physical/emotional changes. Other duties include recording pertinent information in patient charts, communicating with other Patient Care Team members for continuity of care, and potentially providing constant supervision to patients as needed. Duties may vary by department.
