About The Position

The system administrator's responsibilities include troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues, as well as ensuring that all computing operations run with optimal performance and security. This position provides the successful applicant with a unique opportunity to develop their skills and experience across the many different business units that it takes to run a mountain resort. These include lodging, food and beverage, guest services, mountain operations, retail and rental.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of IT support experience in a corporate network environment.
  • Experience with Windows, Microsoft Server, and Microsoft SQL.
  • Experience administering server-side technology and networked computing systems.
  • Availability outside of working hours to resolve emergency issues promptly.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and work well with a diverse team of people.
  • Honesty and confidentiality are a must.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with VoIP telephone technology a plus.
  • Point of Sale system support experience for Retail, F&B and Lodging systems and payment processing a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization.
  • Monitoring system performance to ensure everything runs smoothly and securely.
  • Researching and recommending new approaches to improve the networked computer system.
  • Perform regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
  • Contribute to IT knowledge base.
  • Provide backup support for the IT Support Help Desk. Troubleshooting and repairing end user computer systems. This includes hardware support, new system setup, and new user setup or user changes to existing computer systems.
