About The Position

The I.T. Support Specialist role is to support and maintain organizational computer systems, desktops, and peripherals. That includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all organizational hardware and equipment while ensuring optimal workstation performance. The person will also troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, or via work order) in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end-user assistance where required. This role is based in our new store on Bourbon Street and will have varied store hours, extending up to 3 AM for support needs.

Requirements

  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Must be able to obtain a Missouri Cannabis Agent Card and undergo the state fingerprinting process, covering the initial costs, which Good Day Farm will reimburse.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are required
  • Must be able to communicate with the Good Day Farm Team effectively and professionally

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of work experience in a related field
  • Excellent knowledge of PC and desktop hardware
  • Excellent knowledge of PC internal components
  • Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience
  • Extensive equipment support experience
  • Working technical knowledge of current protocols, operating systems, and standards
  • Ability to operate tools, components, and peripheral accessories
  • Able to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation and OEM guides

Responsibilities

  • Acts as the initial point of contact for all computer and system-related concerns from employees.
  • Diagnose problems to resolve calls on various supported computer hardware, software, and operating systems.
  • Installs, configures, tests, maintains, monitors, and troubleshoots end-user and network hardware, peripheral devices, printing/scanning devices, presentation equipment, software, and other products to deliver required desktop service levels.
  • Collaborates with the Director of Technology to ensure efficient operation of the organization's desktop computing environment.
  • Support the development and implementation of new computer projects and new hardware installations.
  • Administers and resolves issues with end-user workstation network software products.
  • Receives and responds to incoming calls, pages, and/or work orders regarding desktop problems.
  • Ensures that desktop connections, i.e. network jacks are in proper working order.
  • If necessary, liaise with third-party support and PC equipment vendors.
  • Perform related duties consistent with the scope and intent of the position.
