Per diem and relocation are not offered, and candidates must be local residents. The position requires availability for callouts and overtime, with standard hours of 40 per week.

Requirements

  • 4-5 years of experience.
  • Knowledgeable of steam trace tubing.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and safety council.
  • Must be available to work callouts and overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Instrumentation Degree or NCCER Certification highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts calibration of instrumentation, both electronic and pneumatic, in the field and control room.
  • Installs instrument loops.
  • Receives, inventories, and catalogs instruments for calibration according to the construction schedule.
  • Sets up calibration and loop files.
  • Checks the installation of instrument loops.
  • Coordinates and runs (or assists in) loop checks, including computer checkout as required.
  • Maintains installation and completion records.
  • Keeps loop drawings updated.
  • Installs air tubing and control tubing runs.
  • Works during start-up following start-up procedures.
  • Inspects meters, indicators, and gauges to detect abnormal fluctuations.
  • Tests the accuracy of flow meters, pressure gauges, temperature indicators, controllers, radiation counters or detectors, and other recording, indicating, or controlling instruments.
  • Locates defective components in the system.
  • Removes defective instruments from the system.
  • Decontaminates, disassembles, and cleans instruments.
  • Replaces defective parts.
  • Lubricates instruments.
  • Replaces defective wiring and tubing.
