As Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Operations Technician I, II, III, you’ll work with a team of safety-focused technicians to maximize equipment reliability and availability. Mentoring team mates, troubleshooting and solving sophisticated problems efficiently, and attention to detail are keys to success in this role!

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • minimum of two (2) years’ experience as an Operations Technician or similar role
  • one (1) year experience as an I&E Technician
  • Must possess valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record
  • Demonstrates aptitude and ability to embrace technology and applications to drive operational efficiency and streamline processes
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
  • Needs basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Application and PC skills
  • Previous experience working in an environment with gas-plant operations, gas compression and/or liquid or gas gathering processes
  • Previous experience in the mechanical, electrical, and/or maintenance industry

Nice To Haves

  • Associates or 2-year technical degree
  • minimum of two (2) years’ experience as an Operations Technician in the Oil and Gas Industry
  • Three (3) years of Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) experience, including instrumentation troubleshooting, calibration, and maintenance, with experience performing low-voltage electrical work in an industrial environment
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC systems, including programming, troubleshooting, and diagnostics, with the ability to support and maintain automated control systems

Responsibilities

  • Performs complex maintenance and operational tasks with all natural gas process related equipment and systems
  • Minimizes unplanned shutdowns through root cause analyses and implementing corrective actions with a focus on improving safety
  • Fixes and maintains process control systems
  • Partners with project managers to define scope and instrumentation specifications for new projects
  • Performs advanced troubleshooting, calibration, maintenance, and repair of complex instrumentation, electrical equipment, and control systems with minimal supervision
  • Performs programming modifications, diagnostics, optimization, and maintenance of Allen-Bradley PLCs and automated control systems to enhance operational performance
  • Performs lead responsibilities for instrumentation and electrical projects, including system upgrades, equipment installations, testing, and commissioning activities
  • Performs technical guidance and knowledge sharing with less experienced technicians while supporting root cause analysis and reliability improvement efforts
  • Other duties as assigned
