About The Position

Generally responsible for performing all aspects for complete design of electrical/instrumentation assignments using theoretical knowledge and practical design methods. This level is expected to assist in the design of larger and more complex electrical/instrumentation assignments. This work will be performed under general supervision. Primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Creates modifies and controls detailed two- and three-dimensional parts and assembly drawings from engineers' and technician s' sketches plans and written and verbal instructions Makes adjustments to drawings according to feedback from engineers or architects Directs the application of CAD software delivering the ability to conceptualize design with meticulous attention to detail Contributes to the drafting of designs by using computer-aided design (CAD) software to create drawings and designs Directs design compliance with company regulations and quality standards Delivers drafts of an engineer' s or architect' s design by using computer-aided design (CAD) software to create drawings and designs Ensures the accuracy of material and equipment specification s ensuring drafts a re up to building technique standards and collaborating with team members Designs diagrams and layouts to illustrate the workflow of designs

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED is required
  • 5+ years of AutoCAD experience with developing P&IDs maps and design drawings with in petrochemical or refining industries
  • Proficient in reading and understanding design documents such as P&IDs instrument loop drawings and schematics
  • Strong knowledge and u se of Design and Drafting practices
  • Proficiency in developing and maintaining all disciplines of drawings to support business units and projects
  • Proficient in AutoCAD/CADWorx
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio and Power Point)
  • Experience utilizing electronic document management system
  • Collaborative work style
