About The Position

Turner & Townsend is seeking an I&E Design Project Manager to work with our team on a large-scale battery manufacturing facility for our client in MS. This role provides support and reports to the assigned Project Manager(s) or Project Director, with frequent interaction with the Owner/Client, consultants, design professionals, and contractors. The position is responsible for ensuring all aspects of client services are delivered at the highest level to address client needs and will coordinate meetings, communicate designs, and maintain project documentation. The role also involves managing external design consultants, communicating design standards, managing multiple fast-paced projects, finding innovative solutions to reduce costs, and overseeing the commissioning of electrical scopes.

Requirements

  • College Degree in civil engineering or construction management preferred.
  • Experience in Project Management on large-scale construction programs.
  • Experienced in Civil design.
  • Prior commissioning experience.
  • Solid working proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent presentation skills and the ability to be highly effective in a client facing role.
  • Team player; ability to work collaboratively.
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Proven track record in delivering high-quality programs.
  • Detail oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and quickly changing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Construction consultancy experience is strongly desirable.
  • Manufacturing or Mission Critical experience is strongly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support and report to the assigned Project Manager(s) or Project Director.
  • Manage, coordinate, and administer civil scopes through all phases of design and construction.
  • Ensure all aspects of client services are delivered at the highest level.
  • Prepare documents including reports, schedules, invoices, RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes/agendas, daily reports, change orders, inspections, closeout, and client presentations.
  • Assist in maintaining information in project management software.
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings with the project team.
  • Communicate conceptual civil designs and create/maintain project documentation.
  • Maintain Basis of Design, prototype design, and template specifications for civil elements.
  • Review and inform design RFPs.
  • Manage external design consultants through the design and construction process.
  • Effectively communicate design standards to internal and external project partners.
  • Manage multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously.
  • Find innovative solutions to reduce costs without negative impacts on quality or reliability.
  • Oversee the commissioning of electrical scopes and coordinate with the project management team for project completion.
