The I/DD Nursing Intern observes and assists nurses supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Community Residence and Day Habilitation programs. Community Residence offers a warm, caring home for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including individuals with behavioral or medical complexities. Nurses support individuals with varying levels of need across multiple locations during the week. Applicants must be current associate-level nursing students enrolled in a degree program that grants credit hours for the internship. Applicants should submit a cover letter describing their school, degree program, internship requirements, and program interests. The internship is unpaid, with flexible hours Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Locations include Middletown, New York, and other sites throughout Orange, Ulster, Columbia, and Greene Counties.
