About The Position

WECTEC Staffing Services, a subsidiary of Westinghouse Electric Company LLC, is seeking an I&C Technician for an outage contract role at the Oconee nuclear facility in Seneca, S.C. This position involves reporting onsite and to the I&C Supervisor. The role requires a minimum of 3 years of I&C experience and 1 year of experience in an operating nuclear plant. Requirements

3 years' experience in I&C field.
1 year of nuclear experience
18+ years of age.
High School diploma, GED or equivalent
Be able to pass criminal background, drug/alcohol screen (including medical and recreational marijuana and CBD oil), and employment testing.

Responsibilities

Plans, layouts, assembles, installs and repairs instruments, both electronic and pneumatic, including primary piping and tubing.
Selects type and size of pipe and related material according to job specification.
Installs, repairs, maintains, and adjusts indicating, recording and controlling instruments and test equipment, used to control and measure variables, such as pressure, flow, temperature, motion, and chemical composition, using precision instruments, and hand tools.
Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles, and installs primary piping and tubing.
Reads and interprets instructions and documentation and plans work activities.
May disassemble malfunctioning instruments or test equipment and examine and test mechanisms and circuitry for defects.
Inspects instruments and test equipment periodically and adjusts calibration to ensure functioning within specified standards.
Installs associated support structures, components and tubing.
Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules.
Perform other duties as required.
