Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) Systems Administrator
About The Position
HII’s Mission Technologies division is dedicated to delivering cutting-edge solutions that advance national security and defense objectives. This position is part of our Cyber and Intelligence division, which plays a critical role in supporting Enterprise-Level Security and Modernization efforts across IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, physical facilities, and personnel operations. The selected candidate will contribute to a high-impact government program focused on enhancing and securing mission-critical systems and environments. Due to the classified nature of the mission and the sensitivity of the operational environment, an active TS/SCI security clearance will be required. This posting is to collect applications for current and future openings for HII Mission Technologies. Requirements
- 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
- 5+ years implementing, operating, and maintaining an enterprise-level virtualization system backed by Microsoft, Nutanix, or VmWare.
- 5+ years implementing, operating, and maintaining an enterprise-level storage system backed by Nutanix, AWS, Microsoft, Netapp, Dell EMC, and Linux +.
- Active TS clearance w/ SCI eligibility required to start, candidate must be willing and able to obtain and maintain an active CI Poly once hired.
Nice To Haves
- Nutanix Certified Advanced Professional or similar vendor technical certification in storage, virtualization, or data protection (Nutanix preferred. Microsoft, VmWare, NetApp, AWS, Azure accepted)
- Experience in the operations, maintenance, and best practices of Nutanix ECP solutions focusing on Acropolis, AHV, Prism, Calm, Files, Flow, Era, Volumes, and Objects.
Responsibilities
- Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
- Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
- Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
