About The Position

Hyperbaric Medical Solutions (HMS) is seeking qualified candidates for a Full-Time position as a Hyperbaric Technologist. This role involves direct patient interaction and oversight of their care process, contributing to a safe and extraordinary patient experience. The position requires building trust and confidence with patients through expertise. HMS is open to training candidates without prior hyperbaric experience if they demonstrate attention to detail and ownership. The role involves collaboration with clinical and administrative staff across different HMS locations.

Requirements

  • Must be New York State certified and/or licensed or hold a diploma from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of six (6) months experience as a Paramedic, EMT-I, or EMT-B.
  • Must hold current BLS certification.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently within a collaborative care environment.
  • Must possess critical thinking, technical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interact with patients and their families in a manner that instills confidence and facilitates communication.
  • Flexibility to work at different locations in the area and have reliable transportation.
  • Available for occasional work outside of regularly scheduled hours (nights and weekends).
  • Physically able to lift 25 lbs.
  • Strong computer skills are necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • Current CHT certification preferred.
  • English/Spanish speaking and/or English/Mandarin speaking is a plus.
  • Will train non-experienced candidates who demonstrate thoughtful attention to detail, and who take ownership of process and practice operations.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare for each HBOT session to ensure a safe and comfortable treatment experience for patients.
  • Reinforce patient education for hyperbaric therapy.
  • Maintain complete and accurate patient treatment documentation.
  • Perform hyperbaric chamber operations and system maintenance.
  • Ensure the safe and effective operation of hyperbaric chambers and related support systems.
  • Provide therapy and equipment orientations during new patient consultations.
  • Maintain a clean and presentable work environment.
  • Assist patients with their needs, providing high-quality service and exceeding expectations.
