About The Position
The Dental Hygienist performs periodontal procedures in accordance with state dental board requirements and provides patient education on preventing, diagnosing, and treating periodontal disease, including its relationship to overall systemic health. The role charts periodontal disease conditions and collaborates with the Dentist to develop appropriate treatment plans. The hygienist also works with the team on scheduling, delivering an exceptional patient experience, and maintaining the practice and its equipment. Requirements
- Dental hygiene licensure compliant with the State Dental Board, with no adverse actions.
- Excellent communication skills with both team members and patients.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and dental software.
Responsibilities
- Perform periodontal procedures in the patient's best interest and in accordance with all state dental board requirements.
- Educate patients about preventing, diagnosing, and treating periodontal disease, including links between periodontal conditions and overall systemic health.
- Chart periodontal disease conditions and collaborate with the Dentist on appropriate treatment plans.
- Collaborate with the team on scheduling, patient experience, and maintaining the condition of the practice and equipment.
