About The Position

The Hygiene Coordinator will be responsible for educating and consulting patients on treatment plans, scheduling and confirming appointments, verifying insurance, managing patient accounts in dental software, and collecting payments. This role also involves developing and maintaining doctor/hygiene schedules, supporting marketing efforts for new patient growth, and managing patient check-in and check-out processes.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • A minimum of two years of front office experience preferably in a dental setting
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of dental software strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Educate, consult and present patient treatment plans
  • Schedules and confirms patient appointments
  • Verifies insurance for all clinical appointments
  • Enters information on dental software in patient accounts
  • Ensures and reviews entire patient account for complete and accurate information
  • Collects all monies due for services rendered
  • Develops and maintains doctor/hygiene schedules as necessary
  • Support marketing and promotional activities to increase and stimulate new patient growth
  • Greet and check patients in and out, before and after treatment
