About The Position

State Street Dental Boise is looking for a Hygiene Assistant to support the hygiene and sanitation operations, ensuring that all areas meet health, safety, and cleanliness standards. This role is essential in maintaining a safe and hygienic environment for staff, clients, and visitors, particularly in industries such as healthcare, food production, hospitality, and manufacturing.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience in cleaning, janitorial, or hygiene-related roles is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and safety procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual cleaning tasks.
  • Excellent communication and customer service.

  • Knowledge of infection control and sterilization procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Greeting and seating patients.
  • Reviewing and updating medical and dental histories.
  • Taking and recording X-rays (if certified).
  • Preparing and disinfecting treatment rooms.
  • Setting up instruments and materials before appointments.
  • Assisting the hygienist during procedures when needed.
  • Suctioning, passing instruments, and ensuring patient comfort.
  • Sterilizing instruments and maintaining infection control standards.
  • Taking impressions or intraoral scans (if allowed by state regulations and office policy).
  • Providing patients with oral hygiene instructions and post-treatment care information.
  • Charting findings and updating patient records.
  • Stocking treatment rooms and ordering supplies.
  • Scheduling follow-up appointments or helping with patient flow.
