About The Position

Dr. C Family Dentistry - Valley is seeking a skilled and dependable Hygiene Assistant to work chairside and support high-quality patient care in a team-oriented environment. The role involves assisting the hygienist during procedures, preparing and sterilizing instruments and operatories, taking digital radiographs and intraoral images, and maintaining accurate patient records. The assistant also helps ensure patient comfort, provides oral health education, maintains supplies and operatory organization, and supports front office duties as needed. Schedule: Wednesday, 1:00 PM–8:00 PM; Thursday, 6:30 AM–8:00 PM; Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM; and the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Saturdays of each month, 7:30 AM–1:30 PM.

Requirements

X-ray certification.
Current CPR/BLS certification.
Strong clinical and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

Assist the hygienist chairside during a variety of procedures.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and operatories in accordance with infection control protocols.
Take digital radiographs (X-rays) and intraoral images.
Record and update patient medical histories and clinical notes accurately.
Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after procedures.
Provide patient education on oral hygiene, treatment plans, and post-operative care.
Maintain operatory cleanliness and organization.
Manage inventory and restock supplies as needed.
Support front office duties as needed, including scheduling and patient communication.
