About The Position

Clearsite Industrial Services provides hydrovac and vacuum excavation services for the construction industry. The Hydrovac Operator works with the Manassas, VA team to deliver safe digging services around sensitive underground utilities, along with cleaning and vacuuming services. The role involves operating hydrovac equipment, coordinating with customers and team members, and meeting safety, regulatory, and company standards. The operator also performs physical work, equipment upkeep, and travel as required.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of CDL driving experience.
• CDL with tanker endorsement.
• Current DOT medical certificate.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to wear required PPE while performing job duties.
• Comfortable driving daily to local job sites in the Richmond, VA area.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience operating hydrovac or vacuum excavation equipment.
• Experience working around underground utilities.
• OSHA 10 certification.

Responsibilities

• Operate hydrovacuum systems for non-destructive excavation around underground utilities.
• Perform cleaning and vacuuming tasks and mobilize equipment.
• Complete routine truck maintenance.
• Participate in safety meetings and follow safety protocols.
• Accurately complete company, customer, and regulatory documentation.
• Communicate with on-site customer representatives to determine safe equipment positioning.
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform minor repairs.
• Perform physical work, including heavy lifting, working at heights, and confined space entry.
• Travel as required.
