Hydraulic Engineer
About The Position
General MRO Aerospace (GMA) is a globally recognized FAA 145 Repair Station that specializes in maintenance and repairs of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, fuel and electromechanical aircraft components. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Hydraulic Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will contribute to the design, analysis, development, and improvement of hydraulic systems used in aviation applications. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with fluid mechanics, fluid motion analysis, and hydraulic systems.
- Strong understanding of hydraulic components, circuits, pressure, flow, and system control.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Nice To Haves
- Aviation or aerospace industry experience.
- Experience with aircraft hydraulic systems and related certification requirements.
- Familiarity with engineering analysis and CAD/simulation tools.
- Experience with testing, validation, troubleshooting, or system integration.
Responsibilities
- Analyze fluid motion and hydraulic system performance.
- Design, develop, and evaluate hydraulic components and systems.
- Perform calculations, simulations, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Investigate system performance issues and recommend effective solutions.
- Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, specifications, and technical reports.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, and quality teams.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable aviation standards, regulations, and company procedures.
- Support continuous improvement, reliability, and safety initiatives.
