About The Position

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Hybrid Cloud Architect to design strategies, reference architectures, and platform capabilities across multiple cloud providers, including AWS, Azure, GCP, and selectively OCI. The position focuses on portability, abstraction layers, federated identity, cross-cloud networking, and platform offerings that reduce cloud-specific complexity for product teams. The successful candidate will bring production experience architecting multi-cloud capabilities and understand the trade-offs between portability and cloud-native depth. This is a full-time, direct W2, 100% remote position for candidates in the continental United States. The role is part of Bright Vision Technologies’ in-house Statement of Work engagement; Bright Vision Technologies is the employer, with no third-party client, vendor, or implementation partner. C2C, 1099, and third-party arrangements are not accepted. No new H1B sponsorship is available, though qualified candidates with a valid H1B may apply for a transfer. A technical coding assessment is mandatory.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Eight or more years of experience in cloud architecture roles.
  • Hands-on architecture experience across at least two major cloud providers.
  • Deep understanding of cloud networking, identity, and security across multiple providers.
  • Strong experience with infrastructure-as-code and policy-as-code across clouds.
  • Experience designing federated identity and SSO across cloud platforms.
  • Solid understanding of Kubernetes, container platforms, and managed cloud services.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Multiple cloud certifications across providers.
  • Track record of leading multi-cloud architecture initiatives.
  • Candidates must be willing to work directly as a full-time W2 employee of Bright Vision Technologies and contribute to its in-house SOW deliverables.
  • Confidence in technical abilities and hands-on experience; a technical coding assessment is mandatory.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with abstraction platforms such as Crossplane, Pulumi, or Terraform CDK.
  • Familiarity with cloud-agnostic observability platforms.
  • Experience driving large-scale cloud-to-cloud migrations.
  • Exposure to regulated industries with multi-cloud mandates.
  • Public talks or writing on multi-cloud architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Define multi-cloud strategy, target-state architecture, and adoption guardrails across AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI as relevant.
  • Design federated identity, SSO, and cross-cloud authorization patterns that preserve least privilege, auditability, and operational simplicity.
  • Architect cross-cloud networking, including transit hubs, private connectivity, and zero-trust patterns.
  • Establish reusable infrastructure-as-code patterns that abstract cloud-specific implementations where appropriate.
  • Define container, Kubernetes, and serverless strategies that work consistently across providers.
  • Design data architecture strategies for cross-cloud data movement, residency, and analytics.
  • Drive multi-cloud observability, security monitoring, and unified policy enforcement, avoiding fragmented per-cloud tooling where possible.
  • Establish FinOps practices that operate consistently across cloud providers.
  • Lead disaster recovery and business continuity strategies spanning clouds.
  • Partner with security architects on multi-cloud security models and KMS and key-management strategies.
  • Guide engineering teams on when to use cloud-agnostic versus cloud-native patterns.
  • Produce architecture artifacts, including context diagrams, sequence diagrams, decision records, and reference designs, that clearly document technical decisions.
  • Engage with cloud providers and partners to evaluate roadmap alignment.
  • Stay current with multi-cloud platform and tooling developments and translate noteworthy advances into recommendations and adoption proposals.
