Hybrid Cloud Architect

Bright Vision Technologies•South Jordan, UT
•$100,000 - $150,000•Remote

About The Position

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Hybrid Cloud Architect to design strategies, reference architectures, and platform capabilities across AWS, Azure, GCP, and, selectively, OCI. The role supports enterprises deliberately operating across multiple cloud providers and focuses on portability, abstraction layers, federated identity, cross-cloud networking, and platform offerings that reduce cloud-specific complexity for product teams. The successful candidate will bring production experience with multi-cloud capabilities and understand the trade-offs between portability and cloud-native depth. This is a full-time, direct W2 position with Bright Vision Technologies, performed 100% remotely within the continental United States. It is part of the company’s in-house Statement of Work engagement, with no third-party client, vendor, or implementation partner. The company does not accept C2C, 1099, or third-party arrangements. No new H1B sponsorship is available; qualified candidates requiring an H1B transfer may apply. A technical coding assessment is mandatory for every role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Eight or more years of experience in cloud architecture roles.
  • Hands-on architecture experience across at least two major cloud providers.
  • Deep understanding of cloud networking, identity, and security across multiple providers.
  • Strong experience with infrastructure-as-code and policy-as-code across clouds.
  • Experience designing federated identity and SSO across cloud platforms.
  • Solid understanding of Kubernetes, container platforms, and managed cloud services.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Multiple cloud certifications across providers.
  • Track record of leading multi-cloud architecture initiatives.
  • Candidates must be willing to work directly as a full-time W2 employee and contribute to in-house SOW deliverables.
  • Candidates must be confident in their technical abilities and hands-on experience and complete a mandatory technical coding assessment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with abstraction platforms such as Crossplane, Pulumi, or Terraform CDK.
  • Familiarity with cloud-agnostic observability platforms.
  • Experience driving large-scale cloud-to-cloud migrations.
  • Exposure to regulated industries with multi-cloud mandates.
  • Public talks or writing on multi-cloud architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Define multi-cloud strategy, target-state architecture, and adoption guardrails across AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI as relevant.
  • Design federated identity, SSO, and cross-cloud authorization patterns that support least privilege, auditability, and operational simplicity.
  • Architect cross-cloud networking, including transit hubs, private connectivity, and zero-trust patterns.
  • Establish reusable infrastructure-as-code patterns that abstract cloud-specific implementations where appropriate.
  • Define container, Kubernetes, and serverless strategies that work consistently across providers.
  • Design data architecture strategies for cross-cloud data movement, residency, and analytics.
  • Drive multi-cloud observability, security monitoring, and unified policy enforcement while avoiding fragmented per-cloud tooling complexity.
  • Establish FinOps practices that work consistently across multiple cloud providers.
  • Lead disaster recovery and business continuity strategies spanning clouds.
  • Partner with security architects on multi-cloud security models, KMS strategies, and key management.
  • Advise engineering teams on when to use cloud-agnostic versus cloud-native patterns.
  • Produce architecture artifacts, including context diagrams, sequence diagrams, decision records, and reference designs, that clearly document technical decisions.
  • Engage with cloud providers and partners to evaluate roadmap alignment.
  • Monitor multi-cloud platform and tooling developments, review release notes and community discussions, and translate relevant advances into recommendations and adoption proposals.
