About The Position

Optiveum is recruiting and contracting a Cloud Architect for a client in the banking sector. The successful candidate will support the client's Core Technology Architecture and Engineering department by designing resilient, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud platforms that advance the bank's modernization plans. The role also supports ongoing migrations from on-premise infrastructure to the cloud and involves designing hybrid deployments across multiple cloud providers and on-premise infrastructure.

The position is a full-time B2B contract of 40 hours per week, with a hybrid work model requiring 2–3 days per week in the office. The role may be based in Warsaw, Gdańsk, or Gdynia. Advanced English is required. The rate is up to 190 PLN per hour net, plus VAT. The cooperation agreement is signed directly with Optiveum, the recruitment and contracting party.

Requirements

• At least senior-level experience as a Cloud Architect.
• Proven experience with hybrid implementations in a large-scale enterprise, preferably in the financial sector, covering at least two cloud vendors and physical on-premise infrastructure.
• Expertise in cross-cloud and on-premise hybrid deployment architecture.
• In-depth expert knowledge of the service architecture of at least one cloud provider: Azure, GCP, or AWS.
• Advanced English.
• Azure expertise may include Entra ID, RBAC/PIM, Azure Policy, VNets/Virtual WAN, ExpressRoute, Private Link, Bicep/Terraform, Azure SQL, Databricks, Fabric, Microsoft Foundry, FinOps, and Backup/DR.
• GCP expertise may include IAM, Org Policy, SCC, VPC Service Controls, Shared VPC, Interconnect/VPN, KMS, Terraform, Infrastructure Manager, Cloud Build/Deploy, GitOps, Cloud Operations, SRE, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Dataplex, Vertex AI, Gemini, responsible AI, and FinOps.
• AWS expertise may include IAM, Organizations/SCPs, Control Tower, VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, KMS, AWS CDK, Terraform, CodePipeline/Build/Deploy, Multi-AZ/Region, Resilience Hub, S3, Glue, SageMaker AI, Bedrock, and FinOps.

Nice To Haves

• Experience designing advanced cloud-based AI platforms, such as GPT, Claude, or Gemini, to support complex business tasks.

Responsibilities

• Design resilient, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud platforms in line with the bank's modernization plans.
• Architect hybrid deployments spanning multiple cloud providers and on-premise infrastructure.
• Support on-premise-to-cloud migration activities.
• Provide architectural support to the Core Technology Architecture and Engineering department.
