About The Position

This position is responsible for performing a variety of skilled tasks in the maintenance, repair, and installation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) systems and equipment. The role involves diagnosing and resolving issues, ensuring optimal system performance, and maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for students and staff.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Completion of a recognized HVACR trade program or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in HVACR maintenance and repair.
  • Valid Nevada Driver's License.
  • Universal EPA Certification.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Knowledge of HVACR principles, systems, and equipment.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing HVACR problems.
  • Skill in using hand and power tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and work in various environmental conditions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS).

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance, inspection, and servicing of HVACR systems and equipment.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair malfunctions in HVACR systems, including but not limited to, boilers, chillers, air handlers, furnaces, and refrigeration units.
  • Install new HVACR equipment and components according to specifications and safety standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to understand system layouts and repair procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and installations, including parts used and time spent.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards.
  • Respond to emergency service calls to address urgent HVACR issues.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of hand and power tools and equipment used in HVACR work.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance staff and departments to coordinate work and ensure efficient operations.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with HVACR technologies and best practices.
