About The Position

This position is responsible for performing a variety of skilled tasks in the maintenance, repair, and installation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) systems and equipment. The HVACR Technician I will ensure the efficient and safe operation of these systems throughout the district's facilities. This role requires adherence to all safety regulations and district policies.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Completion of a recognized HVACR trade program or equivalent apprenticeship.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in HVACR maintenance and repair.
Valid Nevada Driver's License.
EPA Universal Certification.
Knowledge of HVACR principles, practices, and procedures.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents.
Proficiency in using hand and power tools common to the HVACR trade.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical ability to perform the duties of the job, including climbing, lifting, and working in various environmental conditions.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS).

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance, inspection, and servicing of HVACR equipment, including boilers, chillers, air handlers, exhaust fans, and refrigeration units.
Diagnose and repair malfunctions in HVACR systems and components.
Install new HVACR equipment and systems as needed.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inventory.
Respond to emergency service calls for HVACR system failures.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards.
Operate and maintain tools and equipment used in HVACR work.
Collaborate with other maintenance staff and contractors.
