About The Position

This position is responsible for performing a variety of skilled maintenance and repair tasks in the upkeep of district facilities. This includes performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of building systems. The role involves working independently or as part of a team to address maintenance needs across various district sites.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in building maintenance or a related field.
  • Valid Nevada Driver's License.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).

Nice To Haves

  • Vocational or technical school training in a related field.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing).

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely manner.
  • Operate and maintain building systems and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and district policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
  • Assist with the installation of new equipment and systems.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
