About The Position

This position is responsible for performing a variety of skilled maintenance and repair tasks in the operation and maintenance of district buildings and facilities. This includes performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, and responding to emergency situations. The Building Engineer III also oversees and directs the work of other maintenance staff as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Five (5) years of experience in building maintenance and repair, with a focus on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Valid Nevada Driver’s License.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals.
Knowledge of safety regulations and building codes.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to respond to emergency situations.
Physical ability to perform the duties of the job, including lifting, climbing, and working in various environmental conditions.

Nice To Haves

Journeyman or Master Plumber, Electrician, or HVAC license.
Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS).
