About The Position

The HVAC-Warranty Technician plays a critical role in ensuring customer satisfaction by providing expert sales consultation and technical service for HVAC systems under warranty. This position requires a blend of technical proficiency and customer service skills to diagnose, repair, and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment while effectively communicating warranty coverage and service options to clients. The technician will be responsible for managing warranty claims, coordinating with manufacturers, and ensuring compliance with warranty terms to protect both the customer and the company. By delivering timely and high-quality service, the technician helps to extend the lifespan of HVAC systems and fosters long-term customer relationships. Ultimately, this role contributes to the company’s reputation for reliability and excellence in HVAC service and support across the United States.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid HVAC technician certification or license as required by state regulations.
  • Proven experience in HVAC system repair and maintenance, preferably with warranty service exposure.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC system components, diagnostics, and repair techniques.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Technical troubleshooting skills daily to diagnose and repair complex HVAC system issues efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills are essential for explaining warranty terms and service options clearly to customers, ensuring transparency and trust.
  • Organizational skills are applied when managing warranty claims and maintaining accurate service records, which helps streamline operations and manufacturer interactions.
  • Problem-solving abilities enable the technician to adapt to diverse service challenges and deliver effective solutions that enhance customer satisfaction.

Nice To Haves

  • EPA Section 608 Certification for handling refrigerants.
  • Familiarity with warranty claim processing software and manufacturer protocols.
  • Additional technical training or certifications related to HVAC systems.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends or emergency call-outs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic evaluations and repairs on HVAC systems covered under warranty to ensure optimal operation and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide clear and professional sales consultations regarding warranty coverage, service plans, and potential upgrades to customers.
  • Manage warranty claims by accurately documenting service activities, coordinating with manufacturers, and ensuring compliance with warranty policies.
  • Schedule and complete service calls efficiently while maintaining detailed records of work performed and parts used.
  • Educate customers on proper HVAC system maintenance and usage to prevent future issues and maximize system performance.
