About The Position

Johnson Controls, a global leader in thermal management, mission-critical building systems, energy efficiency, and decarbonization, is seeking skilled HVAC Tradesmen to join their growing business. This role offers the opportunity to service and maintain advanced heavy commercial and industrial HVAC equipment, acting as a trusted advisor to customers to solve comfort and building inefficiency issues. The position involves performing mechanical installations, troubleshooting, and resolving problems, while keeping stakeholders informed of job progress. There is also potential to upsell services and provide quotes for recommended solutions.

Requirements

• Adherence to the company Safety Program.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Familiarity with HVAC equipment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently.
• A valid driver’s license, with no major or frequent traffic violations.
• Willingness to join the UA of Plumbers and Pipefitters.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical installations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems.
• Respond to basic warranty calls.
• Keep JCI, contractors, and the customer informed of job progress and issues.
• Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility is running efficiently.
• Upsell opportunities.
• Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
