About The Position

Service Champions Heating and Air Conditioning is hiring for an Entry Level Field Service Technician at our San Jose Service Center. This is an exciting full-time opportunity with a company that has been voted a San Francisco Bay Area Top Workplace each year since 2016. We are looking for enthusiastic and driven individuals who are career-oriented and eager to grow. While no previous residential HVAC experience is necessary, we hire for attitude and train for skill. Upon joining, you will complete an 8-week paid technical training program at our Champions University training center and lab in Pleasanton, CA. Experience in customer service, sales, solar, plumbing, electrical, roofing, auto mechanic, labor, or landscaping transfers well to this role.

Requirements

Mechanical aptitude.
Ability to work in hot, cold, wet climates depending on the weather.
Ability to crawl in tight places and climb ladders; work in attics, garages, crawl spaces, and on roofs.
Integrity and ability to promote a positive company image.
Provide exceptional customer service while on the job site.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks on a daily basis.
Results driven in a high-energy environment.
Attention to detail.
Must be able to follow directions and work independently.
Must be able to pass a background check, drug test, MVR, and reference check after a conditional offer of employment.

Nice To Haves

Previous residential HVAC experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance on residential heating and air conditioning systems.
Operate a variety of hand and power tools to inspect, repair, and conduct maintenance on furnaces, condensers, and compressors.
Build client relationships by providing remarkable service with strong communication and customer service skills.
Educate clients on their systems and maintenance requirements.
Identify opportunities for clients to improve their home comfort systems.
Document service performed and recommendations made by completing applicable forms, reports, logs, and/or records.
Complete all tasks in accordance with Service Champions quality and safety standards.
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
