The HVAC Technician is responsible for routine and non-routine operations, maintenance, and repairs of HVAC and building's systems and equipment in a large commercial complex with laboratories. They will report to the Service Manager (SM) or Lead with a potential for back shift rotation or duty hours and on-call status. They may also receive direction from the Laboratory Ventilation Manager. This role involves performing maintenance on various engineering systems and equipment, inspecting and adjusting mechanical systems, monitoring equipment operations, and adhering to energy modeling for building efficiency. The technician will use test equipment, analyze results, record and report deficiencies, and respond to emergency situations. They will also perform maintenance activities in data center or mission critical environments, operate and maintain critical systems, and utilize BAS systems for control and monitoring. Knowledge of Electrical Safety Precautions, Arc Flash requirements, and proper use of PPE is essential. This is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of job duties and responsibilities.
