About The Position

This critical facilities role focuses on operating and maintaining essential building HVAC and mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and environmental conditions. As an HVAC Technician, you'll be responsible for the hands-on operation, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance of refrigeration systems, air handlers, exhaust fans, rooftop units, boilers, and related mechanical/electrical equipment. Your technical expertise will directly contribute to JLL's commitment to delivering exceptional facility performance and maintaining safe, comfortable environments for our clients. This position offers the opportunity to work with diverse mechanical systems while developing your skills in a dynamic industrial facility environment.

Requirements

  • Valid HVAC/EPA Certification
  • Proven experience operating and maintaining commercial HVAC systems including refrigeration, air handlers, boilers, and rooftop units
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment issues independently
  • Strong understanding of preventative maintenance procedures and protocols
  • Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for work order documentation
  • Strong commitment to safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment and completion of required safety documentation

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with water treatment testing and chemical inventory management
  • Familiarity with Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) processes and work permit systems
  • Basic knowledge of ordering materials and maintaining inventory for maintenance operations
  • Experience working in industrial or manufacturing facility environments
  • Understanding of hazardous materials storage and handling regulations
  • Strong communication skills for coordinating with supervisors, engineers, and other team members
  • Ability to work collaboratively on major repair projects and support other maintenance personnel

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and repair service work on site utility systems including air compressors, air handling units, exhaust fans, and rooftop HVAC units
  • Troubleshoot and execute basic repairs to HVAC equipment to ensure proper function and minimize downtime
  • Conduct routine tests and inspections on support equipment including water testing, chemical inventories, and brine levels
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on other operational equipment as required to support facility operations
  • Assist other mechanics and operators with major repairs and maintenance of building systems and equipment
  • Identify, utilize, and operate tools and equipment associated with mechanical systems while completing JHA and work permits in accordance with safety protocols
  • Document all work performed in the Computerized Maintenance Management System and communicate regularly with Supervisor and Chief Engineer regarding equipment status, repairs, and maintenance activities
