About The Position

The Building Technician II is responsible for independently operating, monitoring, and maintaining key building systems, including HVAC setup and balancing, water treatment, purified water systems, and process equipment. This role involves responding to facility service work orders, diagnosing building management/energy management systems, and collaborating with fellow technicians to maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and lighting systems. The technician will interpret blueprints and schematic drawings, complete required paperwork, and ensure tools and work areas are kept clean and orderly. Safety compliance and the use of personal protective equipment are paramount.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Possession of a current universal refrigeration license and/or other trade licenses as required
3+ years of HVAC experience

Nice To Haves

Technical degree in related field is preferred

Responsibilities

Independently operate, monitor, and maintain key building systems, including HVAC setup and balancing, water treatment, purified water systems, and process equipment.
Respond to Facility Service Work Orders from building occupants, including HVAC service calls.
Diagnose building management/energy management systems for faults and errors.
Collaborate with fellow technicians to maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and lighting systems.
Interpret blueprints and schematic drawings to ensure accurate troubleshooting and repairs.
Complete all required paperwork timely and accurately.
Take readings from nominal equipment and make timely entry into appropriate logs.
Use standard issue tools and equipment, keeping tools and work areas clean and orderly.
Observe and comply with all company safety policies.
Use required personal protective equipment while satisfying all work requests.
Work on and complete all facility team-based goals.
