By bringing a strong foundation of HVAC or boiler experience to independently complete the responsibilities of the role, you’ll support Goldmark’s Fargo-area apartment communities by diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining residential HVAC systems, including boilers and forced air systems. Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
Strong mechanical aptitude with advanced HVAC troubleshooting ability.
Must possess a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record and meet company insurability requirements.
Comfortable working independently with support from site and specialty teams.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Basic computer and mobile device proficiency.

Nice To Haves

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in maintenance and operations of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC).
Active EPA Certification.
Journeyman HVAC license.
Minnesota low pressure boiler license.
Familiarity with commercial boilers.

Responsibilities

Independently troubleshoot and diagnose system issues and determine appropriate repair solutions.
Perform HVAC and/or boiler service, maintenance, and repair tasks independently early in tenure.
Complete service requests and prepare apartments for move-in.
Recommend repairs or replacements when needed.
Maintain clean, professional work areas in residents’ homes.
Document work and support seasonal maintenance needs.
Perform scheduled and corrective preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment, including boilers, water heaters, air conditioning units, air exchangers, forced-air furnaces, CO₂ detectors, and dryer exhaust systems.
Support seasonal HVAC maintenance and inspections to reduce future issues and unplanned downtime.
Assist with daily building inspections and identify preventive maintenance needs.
Share HVAC knowledge and best practices with other maintenance team members to help strengthen overall technical capability.
Document all repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance accurately, ensuring compliance with Goldmark standards.
