About The Position

The HVAC Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and inspecting heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in an airport environment. The role supports efficient system operation to maintain suitable climate conditions and operational efficiency. Work takes place on airport ramps around aircraft and heavy equipment, as well as in confined baggage conveyor areas.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
• HVAC Universal Certification required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• At least 5 years of HVAC maintenance and repair experience required.
• Ability to understand blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
• Ability to obtain airport badging to work in secure areas.
• Ability to work day or night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Good close-proximity, distance, color, and peripheral vision; depth perception; ability to adjust focus; and good hand-eye coordination.

Nice To Haves

• Commercial or industrial HVAC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine HVAC maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and parts replacement.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose system malfunctions and determine appropriate repairs.
• Inspect, monitor, repair, maintain, and operate mechanical systems and components, including motors, compressors, pumps, fans, ducts, pipes, thermostats, and switches.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance and replace filters as necessary.
• Read blueprints, piping plans, sketches, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections, and enter information into CMMS systems.
• Comply with company safety programs and training.
• Work productively and cohesively in a diverse and multicultural environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
