About The Position

As an HVAC Technician at JLL, you will play a vital role in maintaining optimal climate control and air quality systems that keep our client's facility operating efficiently and comfortably. This hands-on technical position focuses on the operation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC units, chillers, and cooling towers in a commercial building environment. You will be responsible for ensuring these critical systems perform reliably while minimizing downtime and energy consumption. Your technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and commitment to preventive maintenance will directly contribute to creating a comfortable environment for building occupants while protecting the value of our client's assets and supporting JLL's reputation for exceptional facilities management.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience as an HVAC technician in commercial building environments
  • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems including units, chillers, and cooling towers with demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair equipment
  • Experience performing preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on commercial HVAC equipment
  • Physical ability to work at heights (rooftop equipment), lift up to 50 lbs, and work in varying environmental conditions

Nice To Haves

  • HVAC certification or technical diploma from accredited trade school or vocational program
  • Experience with building automation systems, controls, and Point of Control (POC) systems
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems for work order management and documentation
  • Experience with energy management and system optimization practices
  • Additional certifications in electrical systems, boilers, or related building trades
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and building code requirements

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on HVAC units, chillers, and cooling towers located throughout the facility including rooftop equipment
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system malfunctions using appropriate testing equipment and technical knowledge to identify root causes and implement effective solutions
  • Respond promptly to service calls and emergency situations, including participation in on-call rotation to ensure continuous building operations
  • Monitor system performance and make adjustments to optimize efficiency, comfort levels, and energy consumption
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance activities, repairs, and system conditions in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
  • Coordinate with other building technicians and contractors to ensure seamless facility operations and proper execution of projects
  • Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, building codes, and environmental regulations related to HVAC operations
