About The Position

The HVAC Technician will perform preventive maintenance inspections, diagnostics and corrective maintenance on heating hot water boilers, piping, pumps, air separators/expansion tanks, air handlers, fan coils, exhaust fans, cooling towers, air compressors, dampers, coils (HW, CW, DX), motors, control valves, pressure reducing valves, relief valves, and all other support systems as needed. They replace piping systems; cut, bend, fabricate using steel, copper, PVC and associated fittings specific to the type of pipe being used to connect new equipment installations and replacements.

Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent. In lieu of diploma or equivalent, trade school certifications can be used for credit towards years of experience.
  • 5 years’ experience with preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance of HVAC systems required.
  • Must have HVAC certification.
  • Must be either a member in good standing of UA Local Union 230 or willing to become a member.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements.
  • Must be able to pass a customer pre-employment background check for military base access.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience and certifications on Siemen’ Apogee controls preferred.
  • Preferred have completed the 30-hour OSHA Construction safety class or as an equivalent, 30 hours of formal construction safety and health training covering the subjects of the OSHA 30-hour course (see Appendix A, paragraph 4.b, EM 385-1-1) applicable to the work to be performed and given by qualified instructors.
