About The Position

We are hiring an experienced HVAC Technical Support Specialist to provide advanced troubleshooting and product support to contractor customers, field technicians, and internal sales teams. We are specifically looking for someone with hands-on commercial HVAC service, controls, commissioning, or startup experience. The right candidate must understand how commercial equipment operates in the field and be able to diagnose installation, wiring, control, communication, and performance issues through phone, email, and remote support. This is not a general customer-service or administrative position. You will serve as a technical resource for contractors working with chillers, rooftop units, air-handling equipment, VAV systems, building automation controls, and related commercial HVAC products.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on commercial HVAC service, controls, commissioning, or field-support experience
  • Experience as an HVAC Service Technician, Controls Technician, BAS Technician, Field Service Engineer, Applications Engineer, or similar technical professional
  • Strong troubleshooting knowledge of commercial HVAC equipment and system applications
  • Experience with chillers, rooftop units, VAV systems, air handlers, or comparable commercial HVAC products
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams, control sequences, equipment submittals, specifications, and technical manuals
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to contractors and field technicians
  • Ability to independently evaluate problems and recommend practical solutions
  • High school diploma or GED required

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to contractors installing, commissioning, servicing, and troubleshooting commercial HVAC equipment
  • Diagnose equipment, wiring, controls, startup, communication, and system-performance issues remotely
  • Guide field technicians through troubleshooting steps and practical corrective actions
  • Review wiring diagrams, equipment submittments, technical manuals, control sequences, and project specifications
  • Support equipment startup, commissioning, BAS integration, and cross-manufacturer control communication
  • Assist internal sales teams with product applications, technical questions, and customer service needs
  • Coordinate with manufacturers and internal resources when complex issues require additional support
  • Document recurring problems and help improve technical training, product knowledge, and customer-support processes
