About The Position

Jetson is hiring a Lead Installer to help establish and run its new market operation in Windsor, Colorado. The role leads an installation crew, completes residential heat pump system installations, supports and trains less experienced technicians, and helps shape the operation’s processes. The installer is expected to maintain high-quality, code-compliant work and provide homeowners with a clear, professional customer experience. The role involves removing existing gas furnaces and air-conditioning equipment; performing refrigerant recovery, system evacuation, and charging; and working from blueprints and wiring diagrams to install and troubleshoot systems. Installers collaborate with fellow technicians and the engineering team to improve procedures. Heat pump or mini-split experience is preferred, and Jetson will support someone eager to develop that expertise. This is a full-time, permanent, in-person position in Windsor, Colorado, paying $37–$48 per hour. Jetson provides tools and uniforms, as well as the benefits listed below.

Requirements

Extensive hands-on residential HVAC installation experience, including work in attics, crawlspaces, and physically demanding environments.
Proven experience leading an installation crew, assigning work, keeping jobs on track, and holding the team accountable.
Experience training or mentoring junior technicians on the job site.
EPA Section 608 Certification.
Ability to read blueprints and wiring schematics.
Strong working knowledge of local building codes and compliance requirements.
Proficiency in refrigerant recovery, evacuation, and charging.
High attention to quality and unwillingness to cut corners.
Clear, professional communication with homeowners and teammates.
Problem-solving ability when installations do not go as planned.
Physical stamina to handle heavy equipment and work in varied conditions.

Nice To Haves

Experience with heat pumps or mini-splits; Jetson will invest in developing this expertise for someone eager to make it a focus.

Responsibilities

Complete residential heat pump system installations from start to finish, including removal of existing gas furnaces and air-conditioning equipment, and leave work areas clean and ready.
Perform refrigerant recovery, system evacuation, and proper charging.
Read and use blueprints and wiring diagrams to install systems accurately and troubleshoot them.
Stay current on local building codes and ensure work is compliant before completing each job.
Guide less experienced installers, divide work clearly, identify issues early, and train crew members on Jetson equipment and procedures.
Maintain high installation quality when working independently or with the crew, and speak up when work does not meet standards.
Communicate clearly with homeowners, answer their questions, and provide a positive customer experience.
Collaborate with installers and the engineering team to identify improvements and refine processes.
Contribute to building and operating Jetson’s new market.
