About The Position

Austin Industrial is currently seeking a HVAC Technician to join our staff located at Franklin, VA. They must be able to perform installs, repairs and maintenance to a variety of equipment including: refrigeration, air conditioning, electric motors, heating units, heat pumps, hermetic compressors, commercial furnaces, boilers, burners, intake and exhaust fans, economizers, humidifiers, capacity controls, semi-hermetic compressors, split systems, flame safeguard controls, air compressors, air driers, and packaged units throughout the district. Other duties may be assigned.: EPA Section 608 Universal Technician Certification, must have 5+ years of supervisor experience, manage and continuous evaluation of maintenance program requirements and records, good customer and employee relations, and good leadership skills.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Valid Driver's License
HVAC Certification required
Meet physical demands as listed above
Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed by the assigned location
Ability to operate power tools and heavy equipment

Experience – 5 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, repair, and install plant mechanical systems in pulp and paper manufacturing industry.
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment like conveyors and presses
Read mechanical prints and diagrams (including HVAC systems)
Other duties as assigned.
