About The Position

Austin Industrial is currently seeking a HVAC Technician to join our staff located at Franklin, VA. They must be able to perform installs, repairs and maintenance to a variety of equipment including: refrigeration, air conditioning, electric motors, heating units, heat pumps, hermetic compressors, commercial furnaces, boilers, burners, intake and exhaust fans, economizers, humidifiers, capacity controls, semi-hermetic compressors, split systems, flame safeguard controls, air compressors, air driers, and packaged units throughout the district. Other duties may be assigned.: EPA Section 608 Universal Technician Certification, must have 5+ years of supervisor experience, manage and continuous evaluation of maintenance program requirements and records, good customer and employee relations, and good leadership skills.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid Driver's License
  • HVAC Certification required
  • Meet physical demands as listed above
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed by the assigned location
  • Ability to operate power tools and heavy equipment

  • Able to work with computer system for maintenance processes, stores and work order

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, repair, and install plant mechanical systems in pulp and paper manufacturing industry.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment like conveyors and presses
  • Read mechanical prints and diagrams (including HVAC systems)
  • Other duties as assigned.
