About The Position

Dave Jones, LLC is expanding its Commercial New Construction teams and seeking an HVAC Start Up Technician. This role is crucial for shaping projects and upholding a standard of quality work. Requirements

Proficiency in diagnosing, starting up, and testing HVAC Equipment on Commercial construction projects (split systems, mini-splits, package systems, and rooftop units).
Skilled in service repairs, register installations and providing white glove service in finished and occupied units / homes.
Comprehensive understanding of refrigerant troubleshooting and code-compliant HVAC systems.
Competent in the installation of ductwork, gas piping, condensate piping, and venting, as well as blueprint reading and layout from pre-designed or custom plans.
Responsible for pre-planning and communicating material needs to ensure on-time delivery and availability.
Responsible for training field crews in both structural and technical aspects of the industry.
Strong knowledge of all job phases, ensuring HVAC systems are installed effectively in coordination with other trades.
Actively supports and enforces DJI Safety Culture by maintaining safe jobsite conditions and holding crew accountable to safety policies.
Communicating outstanding start ups, reporting status of start ups
Properly filling out start up forms, proper documentation of start ups
Valid Driver’s License
High School Diploma or Equivalent
6+ Years of HVAC Construction Experience or have successfully completed the HVAC Apprenticeship
EPA Certification

Must be comfortable driving anywhere, as the role requires commuting to both Milwaukee and Madison based jobs.

Responsibilities

Diagnosing, starting up, and testing HVAC equipment on commercial construction projects, including split systems, mini-splits, package systems, and rooftop units.

Troubleshooting refrigerant issues and ensuring HVAC systems are code-compliant.
