About The Position
The HVAC Start Up Technician installs, starts up, tests, troubleshoots, and commissions HVAC systems to ensure safe, efficient operation and a smooth customer handoff. This is a full-time, hourly position eligible for overtime with fast growth potential to Service Tech I, Service Tech II, and Lead Tech.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- EPA 608 Certification
- 1+ year of HVAC start-up, installation, commissioning, or troubleshooting experience
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, diagnostic tools, and electrical/mechanical/refrigeration principles.

Responsibilities
- Start up, test, calibrate, and commission newly installed HVAC equipment and controls.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and control issues using diagnostic tools.
- Document work performed, system settings, repairs, and performance checks accurately.
- Communicate system operation, maintenance needs, and next steps to customers and internal teams.
- Follow company safety standards and complete assigned work in customer settings.
