Residential HVAC Service Tech - Sign On Bonus
About The Position
American Residential Services (ARS), a provider of residential HVAC, plumbing, and electrical services, is hiring experienced Residential HVAC Service Technicians to diagnose, repair, maintain, and service residential heating and air conditioning systems. The role offers full-time, year-round work and pay of $30–$45 per hour. A sign-on bonus of up to $5,000 may be available depending on experience and interview, subject to the offer letter addendum. Technicians deliver quality repairs and maintenance while providing homeowners with a professional customer experience. Work includes servicing furnaces, heat pumps, and air conditioners; assessing indoor air quality needs; explaining system conditions and repair options; and completing work in accordance with company standards, manufacturer specifications, and local codes.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of residential HVAC experience.
- EPA certification or the ability to obtain it.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Ability to work in attics and crawlspaces and lift heavy HVAC equipment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential HVAC systems, including furnaces, heat pumps, and air conditioners.
- Evaluate and recommend indoor air quality solutions, including filtration, purification, and humidity control products.
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine service to support optimal system performance.
- Identify equipment issues and recommend repair or replacement solutions.
- Complete work in compliance with company standards, manufacturer specifications, and local codes.
- Explain system conditions, repair options, and recommendations to homeowners.
- Provide professional, high-quality customer service on every service call.
