About The Position

The HVAC Service Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance, safety, and reliability of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This position involves being on a team of technicians to diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC equipment. The technician is responsible for coordinating service schedules, managing complex troubleshooting tasks, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. Success in this role results in enhanced system efficiency, reduced downtime, and increased customer satisfaction. Additionally, the HVAC Service Technician serves as a key liaison between management, clients, and field technicians to facilitate smooth operations and continuous improvement. Signing bonus of $1,500 available after 90 days for a leader in this position.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • EPA Section 608 Certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC service and repair.
  • Proven experience in a lead or supervisory role within an HVAC service environment.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or technical certification in HVAC technology or related field.
  • NATE (North American Technician Excellence) Certification.
  • Experience with building automation systems and energy management controls.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, including chillers, boilers, and rooftop units.
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of HVAC service technicians, providing technical expertise and support during installations, repairs, and maintenance.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex HVAC system issues using advanced tools and techniques to ensure timely and effective resolution.
  • Coordinate daily service schedules, prioritize work orders, and manage resources to meet customer expectations and project deadlines.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards, local codes, and company policies to promote a culture of safety and quality.
  • Maintain detailed service records, prepare reports, and communicate effectively with clients and management regarding system status and recommendations.
