As a fast-growing company, Applied Climate Solutions is expanding its team and seeking a motivated, goal-oriented Service Technician to support continued growth. Requirements

  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical instructions, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of journey-level experience maintaining, repairing, and operating HVAC equipment.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC equipment, tools, and repair methods used in commercial and residential applications.
  • Thorough understanding of HVAC system operations and industry safety practices.
  • Proven ability to diagnose equipment issues and determine necessary repairs and maintenance.
  • Ability to maintain accurate service records and documentation.
  • Strong customer-service skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to clients.
  • Ability to work independently and manage assigned responsibilities.
  • Proficiency with computers and software applications commonly used in HVAC service operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide startup and warranty support for factory equipment supplied by ACS.
  • Coordinate warranty claims with manufacturers and service partners.
  • Manage parts procurement and coordination with manufacturers.
  • Perform diagnostics, service, and upgrades on electronic controllers (e.g., MCS controllers).
  • Manage large service projects, including subcontractors, materials, parts, and scheduling.
  • Conduct mechanical and electrical inspections and maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as oiling, belt adjustments, equipment cleaning, and greasing.
  • Diagnose equipment issues and identify service requirements using technical expertise and system knowledge.
  • Prepare preventive maintenance reports and recommend corrective actions.
  • Advise clients on additional services that may improve equipment performance and reliability.
  • Assist in developing processes and procedures for the growing service department.
  • Serve as a professional company representative to contractors, building owners, and trade partners.
  • Complete and submit required documentation accurately and on time.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Service Coordinator or Service Manager.
  • Participate in factory training programs to maintain knowledge of ACS products and equipment.
  • Travel as needed for national account projects and training opportunities.
