About The Position
As a Commercial HVAC Service Journeyman for AirTight FaciliTech, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining commercial HVAC and related equipment. This role typically involves a five-day work week with opportunities for overtime and participation in an on-call rotation.
Requirements
- Familiarity with the preventative maintenance, service, and operation of base building environmental systems.
- Experience with maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC systems (DX & Water Source Heat Pumps, Split Systems, Packaged RTUs with VAV capabilities, Water Cooled Self-Contained with VFDs, Pumps, Cooling Towers, Exhaust Fans & DDC Navigation Capabilities).
- Excellent customer service and communication skills (verbal, email, text & social media).
- Satisfactory completion of company background check, drug screening, and motor vehicle report.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team-based environment.
- Ability to adhere to company/customer standards for preventative maintenance and repair procedures.
- Close adherence to all safety requirements and proper use of appropriate PPE.
- Ability to use and navigate Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Commercial / Industrial HVAC Service Technician.
- Must be able to participate in the on-call rotation and work overtime/weekend hours as needed.
- High School diploma / GED Required.
- EPA/CFC Certified.
- Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining commercial HVAC and related equipment.
- Performing preventative maintenance on base building environmental systems.
- Maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC systems including DX & Water Source Heat Pumps, Split Systems, Packaged RTUs with VAV capabilities, Water Cooled Self-Contained with VFDs, Pumps, Cooling Towers, Exhaust Fans & DDC Navigation Capabilities.
- Providing excellent customer service and communication via verbal, email, text & social media.
- Adhering to company/customer standards for preventative maintenance and repair procedures.
- Adhering to all safety requirements and proper use of appropriate PPE.
- Providing all necessary documentation and paperwork to company and customers accurately and in a timely manner.
- Participating in the on-call rotation.
- Working overtime/weekend hours as needed to meet job requirements.
