About The Position

A/C Authority is hiring an HVAC Service & Sales Technician to serve homes across Florida’s Treasure Coast. The company describes itself as a local, owner-run HVAC business with a consistent service process built around clear schedules, photo documentation, upfront pricing, and customer options. The technician will handle service, repair, tune-up, maintenance-plan, and warranty calls; diagnose systems; explain findings to homeowners; and provide recommendations and estimates. The role also includes identifying aging equipment and arranging replacement quotes, with uncapped commission on systems sold. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, with a predictable schedule that starts at the shop and has the technician heading to the first call by 8:00 AM. On-call duty is every other week.

Requirements

Solid HVAC service experience and the ability to diagnose systems independently.
EPA 608 certification.
A valid Florida driver's license and a clean driving record.
Strong communication with homeowners and the office.
Comfort recommending solutions to customers.
Ability to work in attics, on rooftops, and in crawl spaces.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds overhead.
Ability to drive between job sites across a wide service area, with significant daily travel time.

Responsibilities

Run service, repair, tune-up, maintenance-plan, and warranty calls in homes across the Treasure Coast.
Diagnose HVAC systems and explain findings to customers using photo documentation.
Provide customers with recommendations and estimates.
Identify aging equipment and set up replacement quotes.
Meet performance measures such as average ticket and callbacks.
Travel between job sites across the service area.
