About The Position

As You Wish Electric, Plumbing, Heating and Air is seeking a hands-on HVAC Service Manager to lead their HVAC service department. This role is central to the leadership team, partnering with the General Manager on strategy and sales, and supporting the Install Manager for field execution. The ideal candidate is a results-driven leader who builds teams and leads from the front, with a significant impact on the company's growth and success.

Requirements

• Experience within the HVAC trade (field or leadership)
• Proven experience leading teams and improving performance
• Strong understanding of service operations
• Experience with sales in a service environment
• High business acumen

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a strong team of HVAC technicians through coaching, mentoring, and setting clear expectations.
• Recruit, hire, and develop top talent within the HVAC service department.
• Collaborate with existing leadership to optimize processes, improve service efficiency, and scale performance.
• Own department performance, including revenue, margins, and efficiency, and contribute to executing a revenue plan.
• Track and improve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as average ticket, conversion rates, and productivity.
• Identify opportunities for business growth and operational improvements.
• Drive service strategy focused on achieving and increasing high ticket averages.
• Balance technical expertise with a sales-driven mindset to promote and sell services and solutions.
• Maintain ownership of the HVAC Service team budget, including forecasting, cost control, and profitability.
• Work alongside HVAC Service Technicians in the field to coach technical skills and customer interactions.
• Ensure quality work and a strong customer experience.
• Act as a reliable resource for the team.
• Manage labor, expenses, and overall department profitability.
• Partner with dispatch to optimize scheduling and efficiency.
• Oversee payroll, job data, and administrative functions.
• Support HVAC Service Technicians in providing top-tier service.
• Handle escalated customer issues with professionalism and care.

• Competitive Pay & Bonuses: Total compensation package from $120,000.00 - $149,000.00
