HVAC Service Manager
About The Position
The HVAC Service Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the HVAC service department to ensure efficient, high-quality service delivery to residential and commercial clients. This role involves managing a team of technicians, coordinating service schedules, and maintaining strong customer relationships to drive satisfaction and repeat business. The manager will develop and implement service protocols, monitor performance metrics, and ensure compliance with safety and industry standards. Additionally, the HVAC Service Manager will collaborate with sales and installation teams to optimize service offerings and support business growth. Ultimately, this position aims to enhance operational efficiency, improve team productivity, and uphold the company’s reputation for excellence in HVAC services.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in HVAC technology preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC service, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, maintenance procedures, and safety standards.
- Proven ability to manage teams, schedules, and customer relationships effectively.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various job sites as needed.

- Bachelor’s degree in business management, engineering, or a related field.
- Certification from recognized HVAC organizations such as NATE (North American Technician Excellence).
- Experience with HVAC service software and customer relationship management (CRM) tools.

Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead the HVAC service team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Schedule and dispatch service technicians to ensure timely and effective completion of service calls.
- Develop and enforce service procedures and safety protocols to maintain compliance with industry regulations.
- Manage customer service interactions to resolve issues promptly and maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Monitor service department budgets, inventory, and equipment to optimize operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with sales and installation departments to coordinate service support and promote upselling opportunities.
- Analyze service data and prepare reports to identify trends, improve processes, and support strategic decision-making.
