About The Position

We are a family-owned home service company in Mohave County with 35 years of history, specializing in HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical services. We are seeking an HVAC Service Manager to lead our largest department. This role is crucial as HVAC service significantly contributes to the company's revenue and feeds the install pipeline by identifying aged systems during service calls. The position offers a real leadership seat with direct impact.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years in an HVAC service management role, or a comparable leadership role in another trade.
  • Proven ability to build and develop people, not just supervise them, ensuring technicians measurably improve under your leadership.
  • Understanding of how service drives larger work, including generating leads, building trust, and feeding the install business.
  • Ability to read and interpret numbers, understand their meaning, and identify driving factors.
  • Comfort and confidence in learning and navigating new software systems daily, including field service management systems, HR platforms, internal communication tools, reports, and dashboards.
  • Direct and warm communication style, capable of having difficult conversations professionally and kindly.
  • Readiness to relocate to and establish roots in Mohave County for this on-site role.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of HVAC service technicians through ride-alongs and structured 1:1s to ensure high performance in technical skills, customer interactions, and honest communication about home needs.
  • Own the service-to-install pipeline by coaching the team on identifying aged systems and facilitating lead handoffs to the install team.
  • Drive departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), understand the numbers, present them in leadership meetings, and lead the team towards achieving them.
  • Manage the daily, weekly, and monthly operational rhythm of the department using an existing, functional system.
  • Handle customer escalations, addressing complaints professionally and protecting the company's reputation.
  • Drive performance of the maintenance membership program by coaching team members on enrollment and owning the conversion process for HVAC.
  • Partner with the Operations Manager, Install Manager, Call Center, Dispatch, Warehouse, and ownership team, acting as a central point for cross-functional work.
  • Participate in hiring decisions for the department and own the development of reporting technicians.
