About The Position

As our Service Manager, you'll oversee the daily operations and performance of our residential service department while developing technicians into top performers. You'll work directly alongside the General Manager to drive operational excellence, improve technician performance, elevate the customer experience, and continue building a winning culture. We're looking for a hands-on leader who enjoys coaching people, solving problems, holding teams accountable, and celebrating success together. Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience leading or managing a residential HVAC service team.
  • Strong knowledge of residential HVAC systems, service operations, and industry best practices.
  • A proven leader who can coach, motivate, and develop technicians while fostering a culture of accountability.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience using performance metrics to drive technician and department success.
  • Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of residential HVAC Service and Maintenance Technicians to deliver exceptional customer experiences and strong business results.
  • Drive technician performance through regular coaching, ride-alongs, one-on-one meetings, and accountability to key performance metrics, including conversion rate, average ticket, and overall productivity.
  • Review technician performance and work quality using both field observations and ServiceTitan to ensure company standards are consistently met.
  • Partner with Dispatch, CSRs, and the General Manager to maximize scheduling efficiency, technician utilization, and the "Right Tech, Right Call" philosophy.
  • Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and train technicians to support continued department growth.
  • Oversee daily service department operations, including payroll approval, on-call scheduling, truck stock, warranty and parts processes, and overall operational efficiency.
  • Provide technical guidance and remove obstacles so your team has the tools and support needed to succeed.
  • Lead weekly technical and sales training while fostering a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Promote a safe work environment by ensuring compliance with company policies, OSHA standards, and best practices.
