About The Position

McCorvey Sheet Metal, a family-owned and operated company with multiple offices, is seeking a dedicated and organized Senior Project Manager for its Houston office. This role involves working with the VDC team to coordinate and accomplish project tasks, ensuring cost, schedule, document control, and quality standards are met. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a proactive attitude to ensure successful project execution.

Requirements

  • Must be willing to work in Smartsheet for all tracking.
  • Candidate must have an eye for detail and a go-getter personality.
  • Willingness to work in CAD/ BIM is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate project activities to ensure cost, schedule, document control, and quality standards are met.
  • Submit RFI's.
  • Submit As-Built drawings.
  • Communicate with field foreman at least 3 times a week to update the project schedule with field updates.
  • Facilitate Kickoff Meeting with office/field.
  • Update project address for new projects.
  • Create and print drawings and ensure they are sent with deliveries and loaded to the project documents sheet.
  • Complete change proposal information for submission to the change proposal department.
  • Obtain vendor quotes for changes for all cost proposals, requesting both standard lead time and quick ship pricing.
  • Release all duct equipment (VAVs, FDs, Grilles, etc.) with VDC confirmation.
  • Assist with equipment take-offs using the updated Release Form.
  • Tag fire dampers.
  • Create and send ductwork submittal drawings for approval.
  • Maintain the project tasks sheet for assigned projects.
  • Oversee all day-to-day operations for assigned projects, handling calls as needed.
  • Apply onsite dates to contract batches.
  • Coordinate with the field on upcoming deliveries and batch priorities.
  • Maintain a current set of drawings for every assigned project via Smartsheet.
  • Process PO requests.
  • Send monthly Change Proposal Logs.
  • Send Monthly RFI Logs.
  • Maintain a duct leakage log for all reports sent to foreman by project.
  • Receive results and update the Duct Leakage Log per project.
  • Request schedule updates every 60 days.
  • Update new project schedules in schedule review.
  • Review & update cost proposal logs.
  • Follow up on vendor-shipped items to ensure they are on site before the rough start date.
  • Notify vendors of any missing or damaged material and track until all items are received.
  • Contact foremen to obtain packing slips for received material.
  • Track and log all foreman field documentation, including Daily Reports, Delays, and Wage Scale Forms.
  • Monitor job site manpower with the labor manager and rental equipment to optimize efficiency.
  • Assist with enrolling staffing agencies on CIP projects, ensuring safety requirements, orientation, badging, and special jobsite requirements are met.
  • Follow up on outstanding collection invoices.
  • Keep the project documents sheet updated.
  • Utilize Smartsheet for all tracking.
  • Work with CAD/BIM as needed.
