About The Position

A/C Plus is seeking a results-driven HVAC Sales Representative (Comfort Advisor) to join their growing team in Murfreesboro, TN. This role involves meeting with homeowners to assess their current HVAC systems, design custom comfort solutions, and present proposals for system replacements and upgrades. The representative will combine technical knowledge with sales skills to help customers make informed decisions about their home’s climate control, acting as the face of A/C Plus and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the process.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of successful sales experience, preferably in HVAC, home improvement, or a related in-home service industry.
  • A solid understanding of residential HVAC systems and the ability to explain technical concepts in "layman’s terms" to homeowners.
  • Elite interpersonal and verbal communication skills; ability to build rapport and trust quickly.
  • Valid state-issued Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • A "hunter" mentality with the ability to manage a flexible schedule, including some evenings or Saturdays to accommodate homeowners.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as an HVAC Service Technician looking to transition into sales.
  • Knowledge of Middle Tennessee building codes and Murfreesboro/Rutherford County permitting processes.
  • Proficiency with sales CRM software and digital presentation tools (e.g., ServiceTitan or iPad-based sales apps).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct professional, thorough in-home assessments of residential HVAC systems to identify customer needs and system inefficiencies.
  • Recommend and design customized HVAC solutions (Central Air, Dual-Fuel systems, Heat Pumps, and Ductless Mini-Splits) that improve home comfort and energy efficiency.
  • Deliver compelling sales presentations that clearly explain the benefits of A/C Plus products, financing options, and our quality installation process.
  • Promptly follow up on company-provided leads and proactively generate new business through referrals and community networking.
  • Perform "Load Calculations" and system sizing to ensure recommended equipment is perfectly matched to the home’s requirements.
  • Accurately complete sales contracts, finance paperwork, and installation "job packets" to ensure a seamless hand-off to the installation team.
  • Act as the primary point of contact from the initial consultation through the completion of the installation to ensure 100% customer satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date on Middle Tennessee energy requirements, local utility rebates (such as TVA programs), and the latest HVAC technology.
